In April my husband went for a PSA blood test due to experiencing several symptoms of prostate cancer; his result was 44.4 (normal needs to be nearer 3 or 4!) I made a reservation for my husband to stay for three weeks. . .and it was the best decision we could have made. When he left South Africa his PSA was 39.7, when he left the clinic three weeks later it was reduced to just 6!! And he has just had another test and it is now 1.71 which is normal! The Final Piece is Here!

Rebecca gets her chance to talk to Kade McMillian whom she has thought herself in love with since high school. She has not had a real relationship because of her hang ups over him.

Then she met Jason, who is also her employee. He has real feelings for her and asks that she give him a chance. She gives in and they go on a work trip together alone to see if this is what they want.

Jason is really all that she has ever wanted. If only he were closer in age to her and not her employee. She is being encouraged to date him by everyone around her, but is reluctant to cause the company to have a bad reputation.

When she finally gets her dinner with Kade, Jason happens to walk in and see them together. Since she never told him what was going on - he thinks the worst. Can true love conquer all? Can the honest feelings be love? I found it compelling and was hard to put down! Makes a great gift!

Love the ending. what a great short story series. I absolutely loved it.

Book 3 picks up with her being torn between two,Kade and Jason. She decides that she wants to explore if Jason and her could really have the relationship she craves. They are heading to another town for a business meeting and he is going with her and she plans to straighten things out with Kade when she returns.

On the business trip she decides that she wants to be with Jason. He is the love she has been wanting for 16 years. She meets with Kade but things threaten Her relationship. Jason didn't know she was having dinner with Kade. Will Jason forgive her or Will her heart be once again be Broken?

I Denfinitely recommend this Series to everyone. Its a short story that you must read!

The conclusion to Rebecca story was amazing....she finally chooses one of the men who want her, I was really hoping it would be her business partner and best friend Parker, but no such luck. When Rebecca goes to tell the man she did not choose that there is no them, the one she did choose sees it and walks away.

Will the relationship be over as its starting???will Rebecca remain alone???

I am more than 30 years past my first apartment days but that doesn't mean I haven't found some inspiration for more modernized and affordable design and decorating tips. There are several craft ides within this book that can be used or modified towards a more personalized theme or look within your first apartment (or second or third). It doesn't matter if you're looking to rehab/redesign an apartment, a condo or a home there are some awesome ideas that will fit into your style. This book reminds me of the old retro magazine, Apartment Life. Remember: if you can't have the best of everything, make the best of everything that you have. This is a "keeper" book ... another 5 star review!

Perfect book for people right out of college or older!

I have kids who are out of college and who have had a couple of apartments so far and I wish I had had this book a fews years ago. I would have given it to both of them. I actually still plan to as the advice is number one - VERY easy to follow which is NOT the case for so many interior design books I have seen. Also, the stories about the people in the apartments are just great by themselves. SO far I have read The Art Lover and The Scholar and have loved both chapters. The ideas are great - I have GOT to get details on the chalkboard table and the mattress light fixture on page 231! I also think the photographs are terrific - very colorful, very bright - they really help sell the ideas! I would recommend this book for students, parents, grandparents - pretty much everyone!!

One of my favorite comedies. Aristophanes was a master of wit and lunacy.

Strepsiades was a terrible character, and I adored him. The way that he stomped on everything insightful or serious with a fart joke should have pissed me off, but instead it had me laughing out loud. My favorite part is near the beginning, where the chorus comes on for the first time. This must have been hilarious seen on the stage. Socrates is revering the chorus and going, "O great Clouds!" and so forth, and Strepsiades says, with the same religious fervor, that he's so amazed and enraptured by him that if it's allowed, and even if it's not, he's so awed that he must take a crap. I tend to be enormously put off by crude humor, but for whatever reason, I find myself amused. Aristophanes did it right, if there can be a 'right' way to do gross-out humor. As said, not a fan in general.

The whole thing was a mixture of the terribly wonderful. It was interesting to see Socrates being approached as a regular guy with a bit of an ego problem. In my encounters of learning about Socrates, he'd always held some heavy connotations of serious thought, though he did have his light-hearted moments. It's both ridiculous and hilarious to see Socrates, such a revered scholar, being made fun of with such irreverence. Whenever I read Plato, I now have this impression in the back of my mind of some guy swinging down on a wire and talking in a haughty voice about ducks. I'd say the play did its job.

Don't Like Greek Stuff? Read this anyway--you might like it!

I'm in a humanities program at the University of Vermont, and this book was like watching "Roseanne" after a marathon of "The McGlocklin Group" (or however one spells that). It's not humoruous in the way that many fine Shakespere funny--Aristoph. actually made me laugh out loud! Read this when you're in the mood for something witty, but not too pretentious.

Was a good and a short book

Had to buy this book for my classical culture class. Expected a boring greek story but it was actually a really interesting, weird, and ridiculously funny play with a messed up story and fart jokes which was easy to read.
Aristophanes made fun of Socrates and made him look like some kind of buffoon throughout the whole play. With the way Aristophanes' portrays Socrates, it looks like Socrates is wasting his life and not doing anything that would be beneficial to his life.
Also, I had to read it in class out loud and there was one part where I couldn't hold it anymore and started laughing out loud.It would be good to see a live play of it. When reading the play it felt like I was an actor reciting lines and had to reread them every time I laughed.

Each volume is broken down into two parts: a narrative comprised of somewhat dry sentences in large type and a double-page fact sheet. Growth outlines are included in each book: from egg through caterpillar to adult butterfly in the first and from seed to full-grown and finally withering sunflower in the second. Illustrations are bright, labeled, and, for the most part, accurate. Scale is occasionally a problem, as in Butterfly where an unrealistically huge spider is shown on the same page as the tiniest of birds. There are no pronunciation guides to help with such words as "germination" and "pupa." These "life stories" will be most appreciated by children who enjoyed Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar (Putnam, 1981) or Eve Bunting's Sunflower House (Harcourt, 1996) and who want to know more.?Anne Chapman Callaghan, Racine Public Library, WI

There are a lot of testing books out there, some better than others. Most are narrow in the topics they cover and the level of detail they present. In stark contrast, Ammann and Offutt's book has the advantage of presenting concepts and techniques that cover the broad range of languages and platforms used in practice by industry and academia. Theirs is one of the most thorough and practical testing books ever published."

About the Author
Paul Ammann, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Software Engineering at George Mason University. He received an outstanding teaching award in 2007 from the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering. Dr Ammann earned an AB degree in Computer Science from Dartmouth College, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the University of Virginia.

Jeff Offutt, Ph.D., is a Professor of Software Engineering at George Mason University. He is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Software Testing, Verification and Reliability; chair of the steering committee for the IEEE International Conference on Software Testing, Verification, and Validation; and is on the editorial boards for several journals. He received the outstanding teacher award from the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering in 2003. Dr Offutt earned a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Data Processing from Morehead State University, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

This is a good introduction to testing for graduate CS students or senior undergrads

I've taught from this book. I used it as a textbook in Florida Tech's software testing 2 course, which is focused on teaching programmers how to test their own code and how to design and write (including test) test tools. Students in that course have taken a course in black box testing already. That is, they understand a lot about testing a software system from an external point of view. The goal in this course is to help them understand how to test code well when they know the code.

I agree with the comment that this book doesn't try to train readers/students how to do unit tests. We use a different book to teach students the mechanics of unit testing. Those books teach a lot about the toolset, a lot about "best practices" for organizing tests, creating mock objects, etc. Students learn a lot about "how" but none of those books give students much insight about "what".

Ammann & Offutt help me teach students to think about what questions they want their tests to answer. Once students know what information they're looking for, the mechanics are very important, but without knowing what they're looking for, the mechanics are irrelevant.

My main criticism of the book is that it is rough sledding for several of our students. Some of the material in this book is beyond what I expect a 4th year undergraduate to learn in our course, or at least, explained in a way that is beyond them. Then again, you can make the same criticism of almost any advanced technical book.

I have a fair bit of non-academic experience in the field and, now as a professor, I work extensively with practitioners. People do things differently at different companies. The approach to testing that I primarily advocate and teach (system-level, context-driven testing) is seen as highly practical at some companies, as too sloppy at some, and as too academically pure at others. Similarly, intense unit-test-focused testing (e.g. TDD) is popular at some companies and barely attempted at others (barely done even in companies where the programmers call themselves "agile" and say they do Scrum). So it is not surprising to see some people say that what Ammann & Offutt are teaching is, in the experience of those people, impractical and unlike what they see in the real world. But the real world is a big place, and in many parts of it, this book rocks.

Raise your test thinking to the next level

The take home: Line and branch coverage are sucky measures of test quality, and one can benefit by thinking beyond them.

This book is a thorough and understandable introduction to the theory of how to design good tests for software.

It does not introduce you to JUnit, mocking, theories or other well-known implementation details, nor agile, TDD or other practical philosophies de jure. Those are meant to be covered by a supplementary text -- Lord knows plenty are available.

Instead, this book summarizes the research community's solid, language-independent answers to questions such as "how many tests do I need to write?", "what test inputs do I choose?", and "how can I measure the quality of a test suite?"

Line and branch coverage metrics are used widely in industry, familiar to most JUnit programmers. Ammann and Offut show how these are just the rudimentary beginnings of a vast, well-studied family of measures of test quality. They also argue that the same measures and design strategies apply to integration testing, system testing, and unit testing. This leads to an apparently odd organization of the book that changes your world view when you realize its brilliance.

The thesis is that metrics of this sort give managers control over setting testing goals -- such as when to stop testing. Instead of the traditional "write tests until it feels right," or "test until the budget runs out," with good coverage metrics you can set a target that balances testing effort with the risk posed by bugs. Developers of flight control systems, for instance, are required by FAA policy to use certain logic-based coverage criteria that a team writing a Wiki framework would probably forego.

The book is organized in a pedagogical way, easy to understand but occasionally loosing the forest for the trees. Examples are in Java, but the focus is on models of software represented as graphs, logic expressions, etc. Specific technologies are rarely mentioned, because the authors wanted to book to have shelf value. The book will still be relevant a decade from now.

It is not true, as some reviewers claim, that this book has no real-world significance. The book is actually very light on theory, introducing only what is necessary to understand how to test software well.

Readers who are already practiced in unit testing and who are ready to take their understanding to the next level will be opened up to a wealth of new practices and development tools.
